November 13th, 2007Now this one is sweet and makes the Qtek S200, the daddy for voice commands.
Install Voice Command to the default location.
- Fire up a registry editor (PHM is a goody)
- Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand
- Modify the string marked “path” from the default \Windows\SDDialer.exe to \Program Files\Voice Command\VoiceCMD.exe
Now, when you press your BT headset connect button, MS Voice command will fire up and take commands through the headset. It’s reponses will be played through the headset too.

I’ll post up a link (watch out for the link in the comments section) when I download a backup copy just in case the original disappears.
Now I've had this Qtek S200 for over a year
September 23rd, 2007I still think it’s the dogs nads.
However, when you install all manner of s/w on the phone, that can cause, er, issues. THe latest s/w install caused the phone to really screw up and I needed to perfom a hard reset. How do you do this when you can’t get to the OS?

Otherwise do the following:
HTC Prophet (Qtek S200,Imate JASmin etc)
- Press and hold the CAMERA and COMM MANAGER buttons, and use the stylus to press the RESET button.
- Hold the CAMERA and COMM MANAGER buttons until the following message is displayed: “Press Send to restore factory default or press other key to quit".
I think “Send” was the green phone button, but can’t remember. Pressing all the keys eventually worked ![]()
